Consumer was convinced by Nick Theil to incur debt on a credit card and obtain a medical loan for the son's treatment, on the grounds that their full insurance coverage would repay the costs to the claimant directly. When the son left the program after 9 days, the refund was initially denied and issues related to an unauthorized insurance claim(s) the center had submitted by Med Pro Billing arose. The initial insurance claim was paid directly to the center and not the insurance holder. Additionally, other fees and surcharges were charged to the parent in order to reduce the amount of the negotiated refund monies due. Five months later, the promised refund was never received and the consumer was alarmed because they couldn't stop the insurance company from sending the rehab additional checks for services that were never rendered.
